Autumn 2 Update
The routines are in place and the children are now fully involved in all their learning and responsibilities. Brown Bears have really stepped up this week and made us incredibly proud with all their great work in their books and the progress you can see in their handwriting from September until now. Look at these books from two of the class!

We have also had a lot of luck winning the raffle ticket trophy 5 weeks in a row. Our luck certainly seems to be in and it is testament to how hard the children have been working on the school values in class and around the school.
In our Science lessons, we have been looking at different habitats and how animals depend on each other to live. It did not surprise us that we were unable to find many animals in our school playground habitat. We predicted that the cold weather and noise of so many children would probably scare off lots of wildlife. We were able to put on our thinking hats and work out what different food chains we might find in similar habitats though. So many new words to learn and the children did a great job at discussing the producers, consumers, predators and prey.
You may well have heard the excitement about our DT lessons and the children are very keen to carry out our next few lessons, where they get to make and then test the ice lollies that they have been designing. We are very impressed with how willing the children were to try out some new fruits. A few of the fruits were new to lots of the staff too!
Can you name these two more unusual fruits? One was very popular and the other less so! Sadly the ice lollies are unlikely to make it home, but watch this space for photos of the children testing them out.
