Year 2
In Year 2, the children continue to learn through the spiral curriculum and access activities detailed in the Medium Term Planning. Preparation and consolidation of skills and knowledge is further challenged in preparation for end of Key Stage Assessment tasks.
Since these children are the oldest in the school, they have a wider responsibility to model and experience first hand, more opportunities linked to British Values such as Democracy and the Rule of Law because they vote for House Captains. House Captains are nominated and elected by their peers to represent the House Captains for the school’s Teams ; Rupert, Baloo and Paddington.
One of these important roles is to chair the Celebration Assembly which parents are invited to every Friday to share in their child’s achievements for that week insert photo. They are also responsible for selecting school council representatives who meet every fortnight and discuss topical school related issues.
