Summer Update 1
One of the exciting books we have read this half-term is 'The Enchanted Wood', by Enid Blyton. The children had lots of fun being creative and inventing worlds for characters to discover at the top of the tree...
In Maths, we have been learning more about the times tables and related division facts and how the inverse operations can help solve division and multiplication calculations and problems.
In Design and Technology, we have been looking at how to research and design a baby's mobile with an ocean theme. The children researched different sea creatures to find which would be suitable to be made into a sewn and stuffed toy. They drew the creatures to get an understanding of their shape and features as a part of the design process.
In History, we have been learning about Mary Seacole, and Florence Nightingale, and the amazing resilience and creativity they showed to revolutionise nursing and medical care.
