Spring 1 Update

This half term the children in Reception have been learning about animals and their habitats. This included one of our topics on Antarctica and using the book ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers as a stimulus for writing, the children enhanced their understanding of habitats. This was then developed further by learning about rainforests and what animals live there in the wild.

The children thoroughly enjoyed a visit from Zoolab having the opportunity to hold a giant land snail, a corn snake and a giant cockroach as well as a tree frog and a tarantula. The visit also allowed the children to reinforce their understanding and ask questions.
