Autumn 2 Update

Spectacled Bears class have been incredibly busy over the past few weeks!

In Maths, we have been learning the names and properties of 2D shapes, addition and subtraction fact families, doubles of numbers.  We have been using a variety of resources to support our learning - including making use of our outdoor space!

In English, we have been identifying the features of fiction and non-fiction text, and then we wrote our own information page about the human body! We have also worked on sequencing a story in chronological order, using capital letters and full stops, and stretching our sentences by using adjectives.

In Geography, we have been learning about the countries that make up the United Kingdom. Spectacled Bears have enjoyed learning to count to 10 in Welsh and to sing the song 'heads, shoulders, knees and toes' in Welsh by Miss Owen! We have also been learning to jump off apparatus and perform balances in gymnastics, and dribbling skills in our games PE lesson. We have had some opportunities to use our senses to identify the smell and taste of food as part of our Science lessons, and mixing primary colours to create secondary colours in Art!
